FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) Regional Police Office (RPO) Faisalabad and Faisalabad Institute of Health Sciences and IT have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for offering substantial fee concessions, scholarships and priority admissions to police officers and their children including full educational support for the children of police martyrs.
According to police spokesperson Rizwan Bhatti, the agreement was formally signed by Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Akhtar Sukhaira and Managing Director of Faisalabad Institute of Health Sciences and IT Muhammad Asim.
Under the agreement, police officers and their children will receive special fee concessions in FSc Medical Studies, Information Technology programs and other academic courses offered by the institution.
The initiative is designed to facilitate access to quality and affordable education for police families and to support the educational aspirations of their children, he added.
He said that the MoU provides 100 percent fee waiver for children of police martyrs and officers who passed away during service in IT and other educational programs. The children of Ghazi police officers will receive 60 percent fee concession while children of retired and serving police personnel will be entitled to a 50 percent reduction in course fees, he added.

He said that the agreement further ensures that children of police personnel will be given preference in admissions, enabling them to pursue their educational goals in a supportive academic environment.
Speaking on the occasion, RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhaira said that provision of quality and affordable education for the children of police personnel remained one of the foremost priorities of the police department.
He said that police officers make immense sacrifices in the line of duty and their families deserve every possible opportunity for educational advancement and professional growth.
He said that regional police remained committed to support the higher education of children of police martyrs, Ghazis and serving employees. Investment in education is imperative for securing bright future for police families, he added.
The RPO expressed confidence that the agreement would help remove financial barriers faced by many police families and enable deserving students to complete their academic journeys without unnecessary difficulties.
