Need stressed to strengthen academic ties between varsities

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jun, 2026) The heads of the two universities emphasized the need to strengthen academic ties between varsities to support and promote educational and research activities.

According to an official press release issued here, in a move to strengthen academic ties and foster regional academic cooperation, Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, paid a goodwill visit to Emerson University Multan.

During the visit, Professor Dr Muhammad Kamran met with the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Emerson University, Professor Dr. Hassaan Khaliq Qureshi. The two reached consensus that mutual cooperation between the universities would promote educational research.

During their formal meeting, both Vice Chancellors engaged in productive discussions aimed at exploring various avenues of mutual collaboration.

Prof Kamran extended his warmest congratulations to Prof Hassaan on assuming his leadership responsibilities at the historic Multan institution, wishing him a successful tenure. As a gesture of goodwill and to mark a historic milestone, the Vice Chancellor of IUB presented a special commemorative souvenir of the Centenary Celebrations of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur to Professor Dr. Hassaan Khaliq Qureshi. The VC of Emerson University expressed his deep gratitude to Prof Kamran for the visit and the meaningful presentation.
