International sectors cooperation vital for bringing positive change in people’s lives: Khaliq Achakzai

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai on Monday said that the cooperation of international organizations could bring positive change in the lives of the people of the province, especially women, youth and vulnerable groups.

He said this while talking to United Nations Population Fund Deputy Representative Dr. Gulnara Kadirkulova and Program Coordinator Sadia Atta called on him here.

Secretary Population Zafar Ali Buledi was also present in the meeting.

During the meeting, various social and development challenges faced by Balochistan, especially in remote and backward areas related to health, population welfare, and welfare and development of women and youth, were discussed in detail.

On this occasion, the possibilities of providing basic facilities in remote areas of Balochistan and making public awareness programs more effective were also reviewed.

The Speaker Balochistan Assembly, while apprised the delegation about the geographical vastness of the province and the lack of basic facilities in some areas, said that the cooperation of international organizations can bring positive change in the lives of the people of the province, especially women, youth and vulnerable groups.

He expressed the hope that UNFPA would further expand the scope of ongoing development projects in Balochistan.

The delegation expressed its commitment to continue close cooperation with the Balochistan Assembly and the provincial government and said that the institution would continue its support for maternal health, family welfare, youth empowerment and achieving sustainable development goals.

The meeting also discussed ways to further strengthen mutual cooperation, capacity building, partnership in public welfare projects and promotion of development initiatives in remote areas of Balochistan.

Finally, the Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly thanked the delegation and emphasized the need for joint efforts for the development and prosperity of the province.
