ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jun, 2026) Chief Executive Officer of the Prime Minister’s Sehat Sahulat Program (Sehat Card), Arshad Qaimkhani on Tuesday said that health remains a top priority of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, reaffirming the government’s commitment to expanding diabetes prevention services and promoting healthier lifestyles across Pakistan in line with the premier’s

vision.

Talking to ptv news, Arshad Qaim Khani said the government, under the Prime Minister’s vision is placing strong emphasis on preventive healthcare and disease awareness, stressing that informed communities are essential for effectively addressing diabetes and hepatitis across Pakistan.

He said both diseases pose significant public health challenges in Pakistan and require a coordinated response involving healthcare institutions, communities and the media.

Raising awareness about risk factors, symptoms and preventive measures can help reduce the burden of these illnesses, he added.

Khani emphasized that early detection and timely treatment are essential for improving health outcomes and preventing complications associated with diabetes and hepatitis, adding, citizens to undergo regular medical checkups and seek professional healthcare advice whenever needed.

Highlighting the benefits of the Sehat Sahulat Program, he said eligible families can avail themselves of quality healthcare services through the Sehat Card at empaneled hospitals across the country. The program is helping to reduce the financial burden of medical treatment on low- and middle-income households.

The CEO underscored the administration’s determination to enhance disease prevention efforts, broaden healthcare outreach and enable citizens to access early screening, quality care and medical support through the Sehat Sahulat Program, helping build a healthier society.

Khani said the initiative is being pursued under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal, who have placed special focus on improving public health outcomes through disease prevention, awareness campaigns and wider access to essential healthcare services for citizens across the country.
