Govt launched scholarship program to provide equal opportunities for higher education to female students: DC

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Usta Muhammad, Muhammad Ramzan Palal on Sunday said that the Balochistan government has launched a fully funded scholarship program for BS Education (B.Ed), which aims to provide equal opportunities for higher education to talented and deserving female students and promote educational development in the province.

He said in his special message that seven seats have been allocated for Usta Muhammad district under this scholarship program, female students who have successfully passed intermediate, who are below 22 years of age, and who have secured at least 55% marks in matriculation and intermediate are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

He said that in addition, the candidate must be a local resident and domicile holder of Usta Muhammad district.

The DC said that education is the foundation of the development and prosperity of any society.

He said that the Balochistan government was taking practical steps to provide higher education opportunities to female students so that they could perform outstanding services in education, research, teaching and other fields in the future.

He said that women’s education is the guarantee of a bright and developed society, so female students should take full advantage of this golden opportunity.

He further said that the Balochistan government would bear the university fees, monthly stipend, laptops, books and all other educational expenses of the selected female students.

The DC said that through this program, female students would get the opportunity to study in the best educational institutions of the country, which could not only brighten their future but would also play an important role in the educational development of the district and the province.

He also appealed to parents, teachers and social leaders to encourage female students and provide them with support in submitting applications on time.

He said that educated women play a key role in the development and progress of the society and the Balochistan government is taking all possible steps to improve their educational capabilities.
