LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) Federal Ombudsman Naveed Kamran Baloch on Monday visited the Regional Office Lahore, where Member In-Charge Waqas Ali Mahmood briefed him on the office’s performance and ongoing initiatives.
During the visit, the Federal Ombudsman appreciated the performance of the Lahore Regional Office and reaffirmed his commitment to improving public service delivery through organizational reforms and the adoption of modern technology. He emphasized the need to expand the scope of the Informal Resolution of Disputes (IRD) mechanism and stated that a dedicated wing had been established to ensure prompt and informal resolution of public complaints.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The ombudsman also directed officers to actively implement the Outreach Complaint Resolution (OCR) programme at the tehsil level to facilitate effective redressal of public grievances and enhance access to services.
Later, the Federal Ombudsman met Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, who thanked him for his efforts and assured full cooperation from the provincial government in addressing public complaints and improving governance.
