DC reviews Muharram arrangements

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Noor-ul-Ain chaired a meeting on Muharram-ul-Haram arrangements, attended by licence holders of processions and religious gatherings from across the district.

According to the official source, during the meeting, the deputy commissioner listened to the issues and suggestions of the participants in detail.

The deputy commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure that all necessary arrangements are completed well before Muharram and that issues on procession and congregation routes are resolved on a priority basis so that mourners do not face any inconvenience.

She said the district administration is utilising all available resources to maintain law and order, promote religious harmony, and facilitate participants during Muharram-ul-Haram.

Additional Deputy Commissioner General Saba Sahr, Managing Director WASA Kashan Hafeez Butt, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Zafar Abbas, and other concerned officers were also present in the meeting.
