CM Bugti ensures advanced treatment for acid attack victim, says suspect neutralized in Police action

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jun, 2026) Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Saturday directed the transfer of the female postgraduate doctor, victim of the recent acid attack, to Karachi for advanced medical treatment. The provincial government has pledged full responsibility for her care, rehabilitation and support.

The victim was shifted to Karachi via Peoples Air Ambulance, under the supervision of expert doctors and medical staff. The mission was led by Captain Ali Azad, ensuring continuous medical monitoring during the transfer.

Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the government would provide the best and most modern medical facilities to the victim until her complete recovery.

He instructed relevant authorities to maintain close contact with the victim’s family and extend every possible assistance.

Authorities confirmed that the acid attack suspect, Humayun Shah, has already been neutralized in a police encounter, underscoring the government’s resolve that there would be no compromise on the rule of law. Sarfraz Bugti declared that elements involved in violence against women and crimes targeting medical professionals had no place in Balochistan.

The chief minister further stressed that the government was closely monitoring the victim’s health condition and would continue to provide full medical and administrative support.
