ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jun, 2026) Ayub Teaching Hospital is conducting ongoing Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS) training sessions aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of its nursing staff.
The program is being organized jointly by the Nursing Division and the Training & Development Section of the Human Resource Department, with the objective of equipping staff nurses and nursing interns with modern clinical skills and emergency response techniques.
During the training, participants are being provided both theoretical and practical instruction in basic life support and advanced methods of handling emergency medical situations in accordance with the approved guidelines of the American Heart Association (AHA). Hospital administration stated that such training is critical for saving lives, ensuring timely medical assistance, and improving emergency response effectiveness.

She further added that in the future, more training programs will be conducted in collaboration with leading medical and educational institutions of Pakistan to further strengthen the professional skills of nursing staff.
According to the hospital administration, regular training sessions, workshops, and skill development programs are being held across various departments to improve staff capacity and service delivery.
The administration emphasized that a well-trained nursing workforce is the backbone of any healthcare institution and plays a vital role in improving patient care and raising the overall standard of treatment.
