RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jun, 2026) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested six suspects, including a woman, and seized more than 100 kilograMS(kgs) of narcotics worth over Rs 8.2 million during six operations conducted around educational institutions and in various cities across the country.
According to an ANF spokesman, in an operation near Bahria Town in Rawalpindi, ANF recovered 310 grams of methamphetamine (ice) from a vehicle and arrested the suspect. During initial interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to supplying drugs to students of educational institutions.
At Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar, ANF officials recovered 970 grams of ice concealed in the shoes of a passenger travelling to Jeddah and arrested the individual.
In another international drug interdiction operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, authorities recovered 30 capsules containing ice, weighing 210 grams, from the abdomen of a female passenger bound for Bahrain.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Separately, ANF seized 2.52 kg of ice from a parcel destined for Kuwait at a courier office in Upper Mall, Lahore. The narcotics had been concealed inside a snooker table, according to the spokesman.
In a domestic operation near Baleli in Quetta district, officials recovered 84 kg of hashish from a vehicle and arrested the suspect involved.
In another operation near Murree Road in Islamabad, ANF seized 12kg of hashish from a vehicle and arrested two suspects.
The spokesman said cases had been registered against the accused under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, while further investigations were underway.
