ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jun, 2026) Islamabad’s district administration continued its anti-encroachment campaign, removing illegal structures from public spaces and taking action against unauthorized parking operations.
During the latest operation, 2 trucks were seized and shifted to a police station, while 4 vehicles involved in illegal parking activities were also taken into custody, as authorities stepped up efforts to reclaim green belts across the capital.
According to the district administration, daily operations are being carried out to free green belts and other public areas from encroachments. The campaign is aimed at protecting public land and ensuring that green spaces remain accessible for residents.
In the G-11 sector, officials demolished temporary structures that had been set up on a green belt. The operation was conducted under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner Shalimar. During the action, authorities removed several roadside stalls and took steps against unauthorized parking areas established on public land.
The administration said that a contractor involved in the illegal occupation of the area was also taken into custody for further legal proceedings. In addition, two trucks associated with the encroachment activities were seized and moved to a local police station.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Separately, the Assistant Commissioner Saddar led an operation along Srinagar Highway against an illegal parking stand operating on public land. Officials removed the unauthorized parking setup and took action against those responsible for occupying the area without permission.
As part of the operation, four vehicles connected to the illegal parking arrangements were impounded and shifted to a police station. The administration stated that the action was taken to prevent the misuse of public land and to ensure smooth traffic movement in the area.
District authorities said that anti-encroachment drives are being conducted on a regular basis across Islamabad. They emphasized that no individual or group would be allowed to occupy green belts, public spaces, or other government land for commercial or private purposes.
The administration further stated that operations against encroachments would continue without discrimination in all parts of the capital. Officials urged citizens to cooperate with authorities and avoid establishing stalls, parking stands, or any other structures on public land without approval.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to protecting green belts and maintaining public spaces, adding that strict action would continue against violators wherever illegal encroachments are found.
